Description and specifications

-wrap-mode: nowrap;">The “Major Overhaul Four-Piece Kit” is a core maintenance component set for the engine Cylinder assembly, comprising the following parts and functions:

Core Components and Functions

Cylinder Liners:

Function: Serve as the “cylinder walls” for piston reciprocation, forming the combustion chamber with the piston and cylinder head while dissipating heat through external cooling channels;

Characteristics: Constructed from wear-resistant alloy cast iron. Some models feature “wet liners” (directly exposed to coolant), requiring guaranteed sealing integrity with the cylinder block.

Piston:

Function: Performs reciprocating motion within the cylinder, compressing the fuel-air mixture (in diesel engines) and converting combustion energy into mechanical power.

Characteristics: Made from aluminum alloy. Its crown design matches the combustion chamber profile. Piston rings are installed in the ring grooves to ensure sealing and oil scraping.

Piston Pin:

Function: Connects piston to connecting rod, transferring piston force to the rod;

Characteristics: Made of low-carbon steel with surface hardening treatment, requiring precise fit with piston pin bore and connecting rod small end bore.

Piston Rings:

Function: Includes compression rings (sealing combustion chamber to prevent gas leakage) and oil rings (scraping excess oil from cylinder walls to prevent oil entering combustion chamber);

Characteristics: Gas rings feature chrome plating/nitriding for enhanced wear resistance; oil rings typically employ a composite structure to improve oil scraping efficiency.

Compatible Models and Engines

Compatible Engines: Weichai WD615/WP10, Sinotruk MC07, and other 6-cylinder diesel engines

Compatible Models: Sinotruk Howo, Shandong Heavy Duty Truck, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Truck Delong, and other heavy-duty trucks

Product Features

Set Compatibility: Component dimensions (cylinder liner bore, piston diameter, piston ring gap, etc.) are precisely matched to engine models, ensuring sealing integrity and operational precision after assembly.

Material Synergy: Cylinder liners, pistons, and piston rings feature optimally matched material hardness to reduce operational wear and extend service life.

Maintenance Scenarios: Typically used during engine “overhaul” (e.g., excessive cylinder wear, piston ring failure), restoring partial cylinder performance with a single replacement.
